Situated on the banks of the River Leam in the county of Warwickshire, the town of Leamington Spa lies just three miles from the county town and is home to around 45,000 inhabitants.
The town is well known for its large number of parks and gardens, the most notable of which being The Jephson Gardens which is bordered by the river and has many beautiful floral displays on show, as well as a pretty boating lake and high quality tea rooms, for which it has been voted the best park in Britain in recent years. The Green Flag award-winning park also hosts several listed buildings including The Jephson Memorial.
The town also offers a vibrant nightlife, with its variety of popular bars, clubs and restaurants which are frequented by many of the students of the University of Warwick in nearby Coventry who reside in Leamington.
